The lack of account creation means that anyone can see your event once it has been approved. Anyone includes good and bad actors. General tips to maximize safety probability include:

• Do NOT share your personal home address anywhere in the event (we’ll remove it anyway if the request has been approved + posted)
• Do NOT create events/hangouts that are just you + invitee (e.g., event/activity requests that are non-group activities won’t be approved)
• Only use a public place as the location for your activity/hangout
• This is NOT a dating service in any way whatsoever; DON’T use it like one
• Communicate with interested participants using social media channels like Facebook/LinkedIn/Twitter or verified institutional email addresses (like @cornell.edu or @syr.edu) BEFORE meeting them
